One of the prettiest of the west side weddings this winter was that of Miss Adele Bernadette Eades, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eades, 382 Dix avenue, to Peter J. Schneider, a well known young business man. The marriage took place in Holy Redeemer church at 9 o'clock this morning. Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Meyer officiated, assisted by Fr. T. Fagan and Fr. Mullane. The church was decorated by Sullivan for the occasion, pink and white flowers set off by greenery and hundreds of tiny electric light bulbs carrying out the decorating scheme. The bride was gowned in white pointe lace over taffeta silk, wore a veil and carried a tulle muff adorned with bridal roses. Miss Helen C. McQueen was maid of honor and Miss Gertrude Eades, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Both young ladies were attired in white pean de sole over taffeta and wore tiaras of white chiffon, each fastening a pink rose, and carried large bouquets of pink roses. Martin Schneider acted as best man and the ushers were Michael Downey, Frank Downey, John Mullane and Walter Mohl. Little Lucile Ruolo was the flower girl and master Gerald Schneider ring bearer. Mozart's twelfth mass was rendered and Louis Colombo sang the Ave Maria. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the young couple, 605 Dix avenue after the ceremony. A reception will be given at their home from 8 to 10 in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Schneider will leave for Los Angeles on their wedding trip and will be at home after March 1. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. G. Whipple of Los Angeles; Miss Irena Smith of Seattle; and Miss Florence Smith of Ann Arbor. |
