Note - there is an illegible McCabe marker in this cemetery that could potentially be his. Burial location is based on the newspapers saying he would be interred at Market Street Cemetery.

Published Wednesday, 26 Jul 1899 in The Tribune (Scranton, PA):

"John McCabe of North Spring street was summoned to Pittston on Monday on account of the death of his father Bernard McCabe, who died at that place on Sunday night."

Based on the death certificates of his children, Bernard was married twice. His first wife was Bridget McLaughlin. His second wife was Ann Corcoran who was born about 1833, and is likely the individual who passed 8 Jun 1885, listed in The Wilkes-Barre Semi-Weekly Record (12 Jun 1885) to be the 50 year old wife of "Brien McCabe". Bernard is called "Brian" in his son Thomas's obituary and the 1870 census.
