He married Bertha Jenewein in Tannhausen, Wurtemburg, Germany. Bertha was born in Tannhausen, Wurtemburg, Germany 7/4/1885. She was the daughter of Karl Jenewein and Josephine Drehner. Bertha died 3/18/1971 in Warren, MI, at 85 years of age. Her body was interred in Detroit, MI, Holy Cross Cemetery.

Joseph's occupation: Harness Maker.
