The 45th anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schneider, 3025 Glenview rd, observed Sunday, November 21, was the occasion of a delightful surprise staged by their eight children, five daughters-in-law and three sons-in-law, and participated in by twenty-eight grand-children, the oldest of whom is now 17.

The article reads:

It is not often that after so long a period so many sons and daughters are permitted to gather in the old home  and enjoy so pleasant an occasion. The sons are as follows:  Joseph, Philip, and Anton, Jr., all of Wilmette; Lawrence of Glenview and Adolph of Evanston.  The daughters are: Mrs. Lucy Schwind of Wheeling; Mrs. Helen Krier of Niles Center, and Mrs. Marie Hohs of Morton Grove.

Mr. Schneider was born within a block of where he now lives on January 14, 1865, and has lived in Wilmette all of his life.  Mrs. Schneider was born in Chicago, on May 8, 1871.  They were married at St. Joseph's church on November 21, 1892.

A feature of the anniversary observance was a family dinner, partaken of by the honored couple, their eight children and their mates, and the twenty-eight grand-children, forty-six in all.
